Apartment Review for Tortuga Bay - Orlando, FL

I would have rated zero starts, but google won't let me. I have lived here for a while and just like any other corporately owned apartment complex, they are super nice and friendly, and even willing to bend the rules to get you in the door. But once are are in, it is a completely different story. Here is a list of problems. 1) The business center works about 10% of the time. Getting paper for the printer is like pulling teeth. 2) There are weights missing from the workout room, and they refuse to buy new ones. 3) The 'hot tub' is heated by the sun... its never hot. 3) They make you pay a 'water and utility' bill which is really a 'water and a way over priced trash service', which you can not opt out of. 4) There is never anywhere to park near your apartment, always forced to park several buildings away. 5) The people in the office are robots and programmed with certain responses to every question. 6) Being a good resident won't get you anywhere when things go slightly wrong. 7) The office is understaffed. Heaven forbid a current resident have some sort of issue while the one person working the office is giving a tour, or eating at KFC. 8) Work orders don't get filled for weeks or even months. 9) Electric and cabinetry fixtures look appealing, but are poorly put together. 10) They are unwilling to keep noise levels down in the buildings. Music blares until the wee hours of the morning with no apparent repercussions. This place sucks, Equity Residential Sucks, The staff sucks. Don't live here.
