Apartment Review for The Fountains At Waterford Lakes - Orlando, FL

Hi! I have lived here for one year, in a two bed two bath. First off, make sure you do not have an apt near the gate, because it sqeaks, and also you can hear people driving in and out ALL NIGHT LONG. One of the reasons I moved in here was because of the gate, it looked well kept and also seemed very safe...well, its not. I would not walk around here at night, because there are a lot of break ins, and there was a reported sexual assault INSIDE THE GATE in the neigborhood last week. The parking is also frustrating because there is open parking, which is nice during the day but on nights and weekends you will not find a spot, and i am a waitress so I get home at 2 am and have to walk through the dark 50 yards to get to my apt. The maintenance people smile and act nice, until they actually have to fix something in which they will take their sweet time. Also, I think for the money it is completely a sham! I was planning on staying here for 2-3 years, but am moving out after 1 due to maintenance breaking (like my air conditioning that keeps breaking so I have to sleep at friends because my apt gets to be 86 degrees and humid) and my front door, yes the front door, falling off of one of its hinges and not getting fixed for TWO DAYS! which is crazy considering I could not lock it or close it properly...so I had to be home the entire time. The office staff seems nice at first, but dont follow through with anything. I feel like every time I go in to talk to someone they rush through my conversation and make me feel like my questions are stupid. Also, they say that when the gates are broken, it is not technically part of our lease agreement and so they dont have to fix them. I would not move here because honestly, you can find the same thing for WAY cheaper at many other places. Also...I wrote to corporate about all of the problems and I never even recieved a response from them, very unprofessional.
