Apartment Review for Post Parkside - Orlando, FL

I have lived at Post for about 5 months and would definetly recommend this apartment to someone looking to live in the downtown area. When I was looking for one bedrooms downtown, this apartment was the best deal for the location. The management staff is friendly and our maintenance requests were fixed promptly. The other residents seem nice and most appear to be young professionals. I have never seen a rat or a roach in the complex, despite what previous reviews may say. Also, as a female, I feel pretty safe living here. Here are some pros/cons that I think might help someone decide whether or not to live here. Cons: Noise - I live on the second floor and often hear drunk people leaving the bar downstairs, motorcycles driving by and construction on the restaurant downstairs. This would probably be less of an issue on a higher floor. Kitchen - my unit has a miniture stove and minimal counter and cabinet space Carpet - cheap office type carpet No washer/dryers hookups in many units - however has on site laundry facilities Homeless - it is common to see homeless in the area around complex as it is downtown but so far they appear to stay away from lobby. Pros: - Great Location on Lake Eola w/ included downtown garage parking - Cheap utilities - water is included in rent in the tower building and electric bill is around $15-$30 a month because A/C is not included in your bill -Great view - our apartment has huge windows that look out to the park (others have lake views) -Floorplan - our particular apartment floorplan is a little weird but it has one bedroom, two bathrooms and two walk in closets which makes it practical for a couple -Walk to publix across the street Overall, for us the pros outweigh the cons.
