Apartment Review
Pegasus Pointeless: You're best off living els

I am finally moving out of Pegasus Pointe. My year is up. They tried to make me renew, which made me laugh. I'll start from the top: I lived in a 2x2, with my own bathroom. This sounds nice, and when coming in, the apartment was in fairly good condition, with somewhat new carpets. The rooms are pretty small, and so are the bathrooms. However, there are some nice facilities, and 2 pools. So, it's something you can survive in. At first. Then you'll begin to realize that everything will break in your apartment. I'm not kidding. Everything. I speak from experience: the cabinet doors will fall off, the showers will back up (if they even work in the first place). The air conditioner is on "super squeak mode" right now, giving off a constant high pitch noise, which would make even the most sane person wish to off themselves. We pray every day that it doesn't break because no one is competent enough to fix ANYTHING. But I'll get to that in a minute. The disposal will constantly break, and no one knows how to fix that either, and the dishwasher will make all of your dishes sandy (we still don't know why). The porch lamp might just fall off the wall and leave glass shards everywhere. Okay, so everything in your apartment is broken. You need to get it fixed. Who do you call? Maintenance. Well, I'll tell you right now not to bother calling. You're going to half to walk over to the office because the entire staff (at least 8 people at a time) will be sitting in their, chillin, talking, and not doing their job which includes answering the phone. I never blamed them. They're being ripped off by the complex, and they're just students like me, but it still caused me a lot of pain. Such as the time lightning struck the apartment and set off the burglar alarm, which does not come with instructions. My roomie and I couldn't turn it off. We called, and called, and no answer. No one came to help us. Nothing. It blared for at least half an hour and then shut off on its own. I might be skipping ahead, but know that if someone did break in and kill you, no one would know or care and the alarms and security are pointless. Back to the fixing: we've had maintenance come in about six times to fix our disposal, and finally it runs, but all that time in-between our sink was rotting. We've had maintenance come in about thee times to fix the cabinet doors, which keep falling of and breaking out dishes, and that shits still broken. We're always scared to open the cabinets up top because their heavy and could easily cause injury. What you'll come to understand is that maintenance is more of the enemy. This is because they always come for no reason and do not notify you. I can't tell you how fucking annoyed I am at getting woken up at 8 in the morning by strange men who barge into my apartment. Not only do they barge into the apartment constantly, but they will try to barge into your bedroom while you're sleeping. This means you've got to wake up, put on clothes, come and sit in the front room while creepy people walk around in your bedroom taking down unexplained information. Honestly, this is the WORST part of living here for me and I promise you if you live here it WILL happen, so be prepared to feel COMPLETELY VIOLATED. Now let's talk about safety. It's not safe here. Security is a joke. They take some people's license plate numbers, then they let others through. Regardless, when crime happens, they don't use any of the information they have on who was there, because it's inconsistent and pointless. I speak of this from first-hand experience. My roommate's tires were stolen, her car put on cinder blocks, while it was parked in the complex. The cops never found the people who stole the tires, and they gave up the case within a couple weeks. So it was at her insurance's expense. So these are the crooks that are roaming around at night while security ignores them, or falls asleep or something. I'm sketched out walking to my apartment while parked right in-front of the building. This concludes my original statement: if one of the crooks wandering around Pegasus Pointe breaks into your apartment, most likely none of your alarms will go off and no one will be alerted. If you call, no one will answer the phone. If you get murdered, no one will find your body until maintenance barges into your bedroom without permission at 8 in the morning a few days later. So, last point. Peg Pointe is wicked expensive. Together, my roommate and I paid over $1200 a month for our tiny apartment (not including the random overages you will get each month). You could easily rent a 3 bedroom house in a nice neighborhood for this price. This is my recommendation.
