Apartment Review for Pegasus Pointe - Orlando, FL

I received the same glamorous walkthrough of the Peg. Pointe show apartment that everybody else did. When I received the keys to mine: discolored floors (and not wear-n-tear, there was fluorescent orange paint everywhere, holes in some spots, and seriously discoloration every ten inches), holes in the wall, a broken closet shelf, girls' underwear behind my bed (guess it was a guys' room), and a filthy bathroom complete with pink rings in the tub. I've never been in a place where I've had to CLEAN the washing machine before using it (it seriously had twiggs, rocks, and dirt in it, and this disgusting black film on the whole tub). And to boot: I've had to pay for a majority of the repairs (beware of that little 'no obligations for Peg. Pointe' contract they make you sign once they hand over the keys). Not only that, there was a small fire in my apartment: and the sprinklers never went off (found out the system downstairs was reset so it wasn't working). That was fun. Parking is a pain too. They love towing. And don't expect the staff to be any better. One year of this shithole was enough. Go live on campus or somewhere cheaper away from UCF.
