Apartment Review for Monterey Lake Apartments - Orlando, FL

The prices are very fair and the location is great BUT they use a central system for heating and cooling all the apartments on the different wings. So, if you live in Apt E- whatever, your AC unit is connected to the rest of the apartments in E unit. That works fine during most of the year but here is their policy when it gets cold: They turn on the heat when the temperature reaches 40 degrees for 3 consecutive days...since they do their own forecasting, I have frozen my butt off when no heat has been turned on for an entire week when the temp was in and around the 40s--and the water heating works on the same principle so you get hot water 95% of the time but when it gets cold, get used to the cold water also. Also, there's very little insulation between the units so you can acutally hear your neighbors very very well...you can hear them talk at regular voice so hope you are not next to a partier or to small children.
