This place is the typical cheap student apartment. It's not the worst place ever, but you can definately do better. Parking is ok during the day, but after about 8pm, it's impossible to find a convenient spot. I live in phase 1 and one night I had to park in phase 2 and then walk home. People don't pay any attention to stop signs or speed limits, so watch out when you're walking around. The UCF cops are everywhere, all the time, especially at night. Management is only somewhat helpful. They tried to charge me for a new mattress a few months ago. I contested the charges and haven't heard a word about it since, so I don't know if I've been charged or it they dropped it. They also tried to charge my roommates and I for a new loveseat. We live in a 3/3, so WE DON'T HAVE A LOVESEAT! Hello?!? Maintenence is pointless. Our dishwasher leaks soapsuds all over the kitchen floor; we've called them out to look at it a few times, and every time they just say that we're probably putting too much soap in. Completely unhelpful, and they will probably try to charge us for a new dishwasher when we move out. Noise levels are terrible, you can hear everything that goes on around you. We live right next to the mail center, so when people drive over to get their mail, it creates horrible traffic, and you can hear whatever they happen to be listening to on their radio, very loudly. The shuttle goes by every 10-15 minutes, which set off somebodys car alarm. Every time. The people around us like to play loud music at all hours of the...night, which is not conducive to your final the next day at 7:30 am. Also, the internet provider, Paetec, is absolutely terrible. My internet was down for 2 weeks last month. I called several times every day only to be told one of several things: 1)The guy you want isn't here (for three days in a row). 2) You've already left 2 voicemails for him, so why don't you wait for him to call you back? 3) Sure, we'll have the on-site rep call you to schedule a time. (He never did.) Overall, I can't wait to move out. I just bought a new condo, and as soon as I close on it, I'm moving out of here. Can't wait. |
