Well Briar Creek in the beginning years of my leasing term was a great place to live. Briar Creek always had its little quarks as with any other place. The lighting outside of the apartments at night is very poor. Ladies living alone please be cautious. Soon after my first year of living at Briar Creek the management staff changed. The first management staff including Laurel was very nice, always upbeat and friendly and looking forward to helping. Ms.Kincaid took over the office after they left, and things became a nightmare when dealing with the office. My bathroom sink, tub, kitchen sink and toilet all had a slow drain. So when you run the water for any amount of time it will fill up. I called maintenance out time and time again to fix the problem. Time and time again they sent maintenance out to try to fix the issue, and one month later I would have the same issue. Well finally one night I finally had enough my bath tub had backed up form the night before and earlier that day I had called the office. Exhausted from a hard days work I came home to see that I still had standing water in my tub. I called up to the office and advised Ms.Kincaid that I would like for her to send a PLUMBER to my home in order to alleviate the problem for good. I was tired of having staff and crew invading the privacy of my home on a monthly basis and besides nothing was really being done. Well Ms.Kincaid advised me that the draining was MY problem and that if I made another request to have it repaired by any outside source or by the maintenance staff I would have to pay the charges for the repair. I advised Ms.Kincaid at that time that I would need all of her corporate headquarters information, because I wanted to make sure that her manager knew that she was charging the residents for repairs made to the apartments property when maintenance is included in our rent. Ms.Kincaid quickly transfered me over to maintenance. The next day I went down to my mailbox and I saw that i received a letter from Brair Creek. This letter was on official letterhead from Ms.Kincais stating how rude I was and that she was going to charge me for any repairs made to my apartment after this maintenance call. When I spole with maintenance the manager immediatley sent over a plumber (no questions asked), who fixed the issue on the first call. Ms.Kincaid and Ms. Tucker are always rude to the residents when you go to the office for ANYTHING. They talk to the residents as if you are bothering them. Im so glad that they are going condo because the new residents will get the same experience that I had when I first moved in to Briar Creek the new staff Ms.Blocker, has been very very nicae and helpful to me. Briar Creek is in the middle of going CONDO, and if you ask me the apartment itself is really not worth condo prices. IT USED TO BE AN APARTMENT. No real upgrades are being made to the inside of the apartments from what I can tell, and the outsides is OK.They have managed to plant a lot of flowers and plants which makes it look a whole lot better. My advise for future tenants looking in the Orlando Airport area is to go to the complex and view the apartments in this area before siging a lease or making any decisions. You know that though! But, always, always, alwasy protect yourself by asking if they have plans to go Condo in the near future. Because a lot of the places in this area are going condo. Because, they may not be condo right now, they will accept you for your first leasing term, and immediatly after that you will be expected to move out. Anybody looking for stability and living with school age children could be in for a moving nightmare if this happens to you, so beware! Peace and blessings and have a great apartment search! |
