Reviewer:   Anonymous   Review Date:  7/27/05      Rate This Apartment     My boyfriend moved into this complex because it was the cheapest he could find in the area when he first moved. I joined him and moved in 2 months later. We lived in the complex two years even though we preferred not to. Our first apartment there was a real crap hole. Carpets hadn't been cleaned in years, stains everywhere. The shower in BOTH apartments we lived in there leaked and maintenance never fixed it properly. Also BOTH apartments we lived in there didn't have a properly working smoke detector! During hurricane Charlie, we moved our stuff into a two bedroom apartment that was supposed to be new. The carpets were new, and the countertops were new. The so called new bathroom? They had just painted over the OLD sink with some sort of latex paint! floorboards under cabinets were missing in the apartment, the walls and ceiling were dirty, 3 of the 4 burners on the stove didn't work. We had a walk through with maintenance to fix the problems. The problems were never fixed. Every year they jack up their rent. And really watch out for these guys because they're not so great at math either. Make sure if you choose to live there you MAKE them give you reciepts. They WILL try to jack you out of money constantly. No one seems to know what's going on. My boyfriend and I are now moving into a BIGGER apartment for cheaper rent, newly rennovated in a better complex! Arbour is definately NOT worth what they charge.
