| There are so many problems it is difficult to know where to begin. We lived at the Camden for 1 year. This apartment appears pleasing; however, looks are deceiving. The stairs are worn, there are nests of bugs and wasps all over, and the place becomes a mud pit when it rains. The trash compactor is always full and trash is piled up all over the compactor building.
Let's talk about the "safety of a gated community". Please let me stop laughing first. The gates hardly ever work and are usually open. Management likes to tell us the that the part is on backorder. We received several letters from management about crime, break ins, and vandals.
Hope that you don't have a maintenance issue. My husband found a large spot on the ceiling where the upstairs bathroom was leaking into our apartment. After several days and buckets on our floor, they finally came after repeated calls. Not to mention that I now have a ruined antique cherry dresser that has been in my family for years. (1824 to be exact). This was just one of many problems that required mulpitle phone calls.
Noise is a problem with this complex. A great deal of undesirable people live in this complex, and a apariently, there is no limit to the number of people that can reside in the same apartment. The walls are paper thin and we did not get a descent nights sleep the whole time we lived there. People stomping up above, loud music, grilling out at midnight, partying every night. It was worse than a college dorm. Managements answer "call the sherif." I called the sheriff and the deputy that came out said that they are tired of coming out to Camden and that it is the responsibility of the property to take care of the problem. Management did nothing.
Now let's talk about management. They are theives and liars. The other people that have rated this property are correct. We had them try to screw us out of $110 dollars, and we stayed until our lease was up. We paid through our lease termination date, but turned the keys in 4 days prior. (Had to have everything in the new place). They decided that since we did not occupy the apartment, that they could charge us for the four days. Well, it took an act of God to get them to budge on this and I got all but $31 of it back. Be aware, they will lie to you every chance they get. Save all of you paperwork and get everything in writing with a signature. I had to fight them for the whole year on just about everything. |
